Situated on the fishing pier of Helvic, An Rinn, looking across Dungarvan Bay to Waterford’s stunning coast, is a hidden gem - our wellness centre, Sólás na Mara. Literally translated as ‘Solace of the Sea’, here we aim to utilise the natural benefits of the sea for mind and body, married with modern physical and beauty therapies, to help those who visit to relax, recover and regenerate.
SEAWEED BATHS

One of Ireland’s oldest natural therapies, Seaweed Baths have been recognised in Ireland for over a hundred years as an ideal way to help the body recover. Sólás na Mara is unique to Ireland’s Ancient East in offering seaweed baths with freshly piped and warmed seawater. This nutrient rich bath helps the body absorb the benefits of seaweed, rich in naturally occurring iodine, calcium, magnesium, vitamins E and F, that leaves your body feeling cleansed, refreshed and energised.
