What should I bring?

You only need to bring yourself!  We will provide towels and robes if you are having a treatment as well. We will provide water if you don’t have your own drinking bottle with you. Your seaweed bath will be in a private suite and therefore you are welcome to enjoy with or without a bathing suit.

How long does it take?

The suite is yours for up to an hour.  Any additional treatments are enjoyed before or after your bath.  We recommend allowing yourself some time after your bath also to relax and take the full benefit - either in our café, outside pierside or on Helvic Head itself.

Do I need a swimsuit?

You will be in your own private bathroom suite for this natural therapy, so it is your decision whether you would like to enjoy with or without a swimsuit.

Can anyone take a seaweed & seawater bath?

The baths can be enjoyed by anyone from young to old.  We would ask that any child under 16 is supervised in one of our single suites, or alternatively a shared double suite can be enjoyed.

Is mobility a concern? What if I need assistance?

We do not currently have any additional mobility devices but clients are very welcome to bring their own devices or carers to aid you to get into and out of the baths. Each bathroom has a handrail to assist you in getting into and out of the baths. We can also provide a slipmat for the bath. Please speak to us about this when you make your booking if you have a particular concern.

Can I take the seaweed with me?

Each bath uses fresh seaweed and so you are very welcome to request and take the seaweed used in your bath with you as you leave. To reuse at home perhaps the next day, or in your garden, where it will continue to give its benefits to you.

What if I something happens and I have to cancel?

We understand that things happen and people become unwell or unable to travel. Please do get in touch with us as soon as you know of the need to cancel.

If you have to cancel within 24 hours of your booking, we will happily help you to reschedule your booking, or provide a voucher for you to use in the future if you can’t reschedule immediately. If you cancel before this time and need to be refunded, we can offer a 50% refund if within 72 hours, and of course we’d prefer to have you reschedule and plan to come again.

We do have a cancellation policy to help us our business going, and so that we’re not turning other clients away unnecessarily.
